Important Features

In addition to fire protection, static-dynamic and physical aspects already listed, installed PROMATECT®-T form a protective shield which guarantees the durability of a reinforced steel construction against the penetration of chlorides, as well as salts dissolved in water.
Premature carbonation and the associated reinforcement corrosion are prevented in the long term in this manner.

Installation on Sheet Steel Sections

Sheet steel sections (5) can be used as the substructure. Corrosion protection should be applied.

Installation on Board Strips

No corrosion protection is required for a substructure consisting of PROMATECT®-T board strips (2).

Installation on Plastic Pimpled Sheet

The intermediate layer consisting of plastic dimpled sheets (6), e.g. for drainage purposes, is certified for fire protection use.
The plastic pimpled sheets as spacers prevent the penetration and action of chlorides and sulphates into the concrete, thus providing additional long-term protection.

Ceiling/Wall Connection

For protection of the ceiling support the lining of the walls is designed to be ≥ 1000 mm.
